So long 2023!

Dear Earth Heir Community,

As we reflect on the past 12 months, we are filled with gratitude for our 10th year of operations. We live in turbulent times, which highlight the great need for humanity, compassion and equity. That we cannot and should not live without consideration of our brothers and sisters in need. 
 
Here are some of the milestones we have been blessed with in 2023: 

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary 🎉
Valentine's Day marks our anniversary every year since 2013 and it is a reminder that what we do at Earth Heir stems from the desire to show love to as many in need as we can.

Sustain.ed Launch in November 2023 🛍️
Our biggest news for this year is the launch of Sustain.ed, a new collaborative space created in collaboration with The Sea Monkey Project. Our vision is to be a centre for collaboration and partnership for anyone interested to learn more about social impact and sustainability in Malaysia. We first found the location January 2023 and as social enterprises with limited funds, we got creative with how we built up the space (come and experience it for yourself!)

We're now a multi-brand marketplace 🛍️
Earthheir.com and our physical retail shop are now a multi-brand marketplace showcasing social impact and sustainable products made by various NGOs and social enterprises working with communities in Malaysia. You can now shop for impactful and meaningful gifts and support many different marginalised groups in Malaysia. If you think there is an NGO or Social Enterprise we should feature in our store, please message us!

We launched Sustain.me to support micro-entrepreneurs 🗣️
We launched our micro-entrepreneurs sustainable business training program with the support of Yayasan Hasanah and the Ministry of Finance. As a small business, we recognise that our impact is scaled when we can teach other entrepreneurs and enterprises what we do and the lessons we have learned so that they can stand on their own. 

MADE51 UNHCR Egypt 🇪🇬
We took part in the annual MADE51 UNHCR gathering in Egypt and were privileged to have Earth Heir products being showcased at the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva. We have been collaborating with the United Nations Refugee Agency since 2017, in the creation of beautiful handmade jewellery supporting the livelihoods of refugees living in Malaysia.

We took part in the social impact market at the AVPN Global Conference 2023 🎉
A huge thank you to Yayasan Hasanah for including us in the first ever social impact market at the AVPN Global Conference 2023.

We had exciting engagements with the media and been shortlisted for an Accelerator program too!
